What to Expect at Your Visit to Matsuda Dermatology
We hear you and want you to know that we value your time. We are doing our best to make changes to address the issue of long wait times. Please understand that on occasion medical emergencies require the doctors’ immediate attention and this may cause delays. To help us stay on time, please observe the following guidelines:
- When scheduling your appointment, note the reason(s) for your visit so that the staff can help the doctor optimize their time with you.
- Be aware that a regular 15-minute appointment with the doctor is for either one or two simple lesions or a single complex issue (this includes urgent care, hair loss, rash, and other systemic disorders).
- For additional concerns, you may schedule another appointment. Although it may only take a short time for the doctor to diagnose and treat your problem, there is additional time taken to document, send prescriptions, fill out prior authorization forms, charge insurance, and collect payment for additional concerns.
- When additional concerns are added at the time of visit, this causes us to run behind and impacts the patients that have appointments following yours. Please be courteous.
-
Please arrive to your appointment on time. If you do arrive late to your appointment, there may be a wait, you may have a shorter appointment, or you may need to reschedule.
-
Be prepared to update your medical history, allergies, medications, and the reason(s) for your visit with the nurse. Please let the nurse know if you have any prescriptions that you would like to refill.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us at least 2 full business days in advance. This way, we will be able to schedule patients with urgent issues that need immediate care.
Mahalo for your kokua and cooperation,
Dr. Matsuda, Dr. Sheu, Dr. Jim On and the Staff at Matsuda Dermatology
